Carmel High School Basketball Teams & Universal Cares Prep Coxhall Gardens for Winter
On a crisp Saturday morning, November 2nd, the Universal Cares team joined forces with a group of dedicated student-athletes from Carmel High School’s boys’ basketball team to help prepare Coxhall Gardens in Carmel, Indiana, for the winter months ahead. This collaboration brought together our Universal Cares volunteers, park staff, and students all working side by side, embracing the spirit of giving back to the community.
The Carmel Greyhounds brought an impressive energy and a true sense of teamwork, showing us that they’re more than just athletes on the court—they’re role models in our community. These young men took on tasks from cleaning around the pond to mulching numerous trees, demonstrating that service and leadership extend beyond school and sports. They came ready to work, making sure this local gem will stay beautiful and well-maintained for all to enjoy, even in the colder months. It was inspiring to watch these student-athletes embody Universal Cares’ mission to give back. By taking time out of their busy schedules, they showed that even small acts of service can have a big impact.
We want to extend a huge thank you to the Carmel Greyhounds and their coaches for their time, effort, and dedication to making a difference. Coxhall Gardens will be ready to weather the winter, thanks to the helping hands and generous spirits of our volunteers and the Carmel basketball team. We couldn’t be prouder to work alongside such an inspiring group—and we look forward to more opportunities to collaborate in the future!
