Back to the Beginning - Rocky Ripple Park

Rob Yeary grew up in Rocky Ripple, raised in a modest home by his grandparents. Their house was a warm, bustling place with an ever-open door for aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, even great-grandchildren—and friends who became like family. No one left without a meal, whether they were hungry or not.

In 2021, the Town of Rocky Ripple happened to approach Universal Roofing—a company founded from that very home—for an estimate to replace the pavilion roof at the local park. Instead, Rob took it upon himself to complete the project at no cost to the town. His grandparents had instilled in him the value of giving generously, whether it meant sharing time, resources, or simply the last two pennies in his pocket.

In honor of his grandparents’ legacy, a plaque was placed at the pavilion. The moment was especially meaningful for Rob, who attended the dedication with his son, Sam, co-founder of Universal Cares. Together, they celebrated a beautiful full-circle moment for the Yeary family.
